A)FROM CANTAVIEJA:

 

-Tarayuela and vulture trough:

Approximate duration: 4 hours going and coming back
Type of terrain: slope
From Cantavieja: The viewing point of Tarayuela. To reach the viewing point you must ascend to the glory of getting to the top and glimpse a view from the summit, at 1738 metres. The view is incredible and, from this place, we can come to a vulture trough and meet other heights lovers. The path can be covered both on foot and by bike, as it coincides mostly with GR-8.

 

-Faldrija Spring or El Rebollar Recreation Area:

Approximate duration: 3 hours going and coming back
Type of terrain: slope
It can also be covered by car and it is ideally suited for children. Faldrija Spring or El Rebollar Recreation Area: A walk among Mediterranean and pine forest towards a place to rest or perhaps have fun in the Tarzanódromo (a children?s playground) or, for those who have the required equipment, enjoy climbing the limestone walls that surround the picnic spot.

 

-To the River:

Approximate duration: 3 hours going and coming back
Type of terrain: winding
From Cantavieja to the river: The fun lies in the path, since as we go forward we will discover slopes and the vegetation the river breeds along its course.

 

 

B) FROM OTHER PLACES IN THE REGION:

 

-Source of river Pitarque.

Approximate duration: 2.5 hours going and coming back
Type of terrain: Flat
In Pitarque: Source of river Pitarque route: This path, mainly in the GR-8, takes us during two hours through landscapes with river sounding, a water song that will delight you all the way long, through ravines, and will leave you speechless when you see the great spurt of water where the river source is located.

 

-The path to the shrine of the Cid.

Approximate duration: 3 hours going and coming back
Iglesuela del Cid: The path to the shrine of the Cid. This monumental town has an area of orchards whose walls are a Place of Cultural Interest (BIC) and define the path to this unique shrine built with Iberian and Roman stones. The path is marked by a Calvary having a slit made, as tradition tells, by Saint James? horse when he assisted the Cid during a battle.
